Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to provide high-quality venipuncture and extended scope services for a diverse patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. This role requires a dependable and compassionate individual who can perform both standard and expanded clinical tasks in a busy outpatient or clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture procedures efficiently and accurately
- Provide specimen collection for both blood and non-blood samples
- Administer point-of-care testing (POCT) as needed
- Assist with EKGs/ECGs, vital signs, ear lavages, PPD tests, swabs, and vaccines
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and handling of all specimens
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with clinical standards
- Deliver excellent patient care and maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of hands-on venipuncture experience (excluding externship or school training)
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures and best practices in specimen handling
- Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable and professional demeanor
Additional Information:
- Travel/local experience required – familiarity with the local area is a plus
