JOB SUMMARY Performs diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) procedures on patients of all ages as requested by authorized medical providers.
Key Responsibilities - Operates CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the body. - Positions patients correctly for scans, ensuring comfort and safety. - Administers contrast media as prescribed. - Monitors patients during procedures and reports any changes. - Maintains patient records and documentation. - Ensures CT equipment is clean, functional, and stocked. - Adheres to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
Schedule / Shift As needed, may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications - Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Experience performing CT procedures.
Certifications - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT.
Skills - Proficient in CT imaging techniques and protocols. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
EMR / Systems - Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
