  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including those requiring cardiac monitoring. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Monitor and assess patients with acute medical conditions and those on telemetry.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
    • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alerts appropriately.
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
    • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
    • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
    Required Qualifications
    • Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units.
    • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation of telemetry data.
    • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac care protocols.

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
