Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a 13-week assignment through Client. This role involves acute inpatient phlebotomy services in a large hospital setting, requiring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with OSHA and laboratory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection procedures
- Label, process, and centrifuge specimens; split and store samples appropriately
- Verify physician orders and requisitions for accuracy
- Prepare specimens for transport and update patient information accurately
- Follow OSHA guidelines and laboratory compliance standards
- Assist with troubleshooting and workflow improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
- Acute inpatient phlebotomy experience in large hospital settings (400+ beds)
- Ability to cover up to 650 beds and manage >5 patients per hour
- BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume hospital environments
- Strong patient interaction and communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and hospital workflows
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
Note- Travel Experience Required
