JOB TITLE: LTC LVN/LPN

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Long Term Care Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for a travel assignment. This role involves providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and treatment to residents in a long-term care facility.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and overall condition, reporting any changes to the charge nurse or supervisor.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Maintain accurate and detailed resident records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond to resident needs and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation.

Schedule / Shift
- Shift Type: Variable (Days or Nights, dependent on facility needs)
- Hours: 4x12 or 3x12 (Traveler's choice)
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 weeks
- Note: Caregivers are not typically asked to rotate between day/night shifts.

Required Qualifications
- Previous travel experience required.
- Must possess a valid Alaska state LVN/LPN license.
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation.
- Ability to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years).

Experience
- 1 year of LVN/LPN experience required.
- Specific experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting required.

Skills
- Proficiency in providing care within a Long Term Care environment.

Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)

- ECS
