Job Summary

Medical Technologist needed for a contract postion in Somerville, Mass.                                                                                                            24hrs/wk to cover (3 days) Mon-Fri 12p- 8:30p to include a rotating weekend Sat/Sun 9a-5:30.

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory assays to analyze patient specimens.

• Provide critical data to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment within the area of specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hematology procedures and analyses.

• Conduct microscopic examinations, including semen and urine analysis.

• Evaluate the validity of laboratory data and accurately record test results.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and quality control standards.

• Collaborate with medical professionals to interpret laboratory findings.

• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.

• Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Hematology experience.

• Proficiency in microscopy, semen analysis, and urine analysis.

• ASCP certification. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
