Job Summary
The Perioperative Circulator RN is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering patient care during operative and invasive procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in the operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the operating room
- Monitor and document patient status throughout perioperative procedures
- Coordinate care based on patient condition and surgical requirements
- Ensure adherence to AORN standards and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the surgical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of acute OR experience
- At least 6 months of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and AORN standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications (if any)
- RN License (State or Compact)
- BLS (AHA Required)
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
- BSN (Preferred)
