  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals dealing with mental health and psychiatric conditions. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' mental and physical health status.
    2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
    3. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
    4. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
    5. Monitor and document patient behaviors, symptoms, and progress.
    6. Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention.
    7. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and mental health conditions.
    8. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    2. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health, psychiatric, or mental health settings.
    3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    4. Ability to manage crisis situations with professionalism and empathy.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    2. Previous experience working in inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health units
    3. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based behavioral interventions

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
    3. Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) or equivalent training (preferred)
