Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while supporting physicians and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure assessments and education.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses throughout procedures.
- Administer medications and sedation as directed.
- Provide post-procedure care, including recovery monitoring and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedures in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other nursing staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, procedural environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Prior experience in gastroenterology or surgical nursing.
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and sedation protocols.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
