  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent phlebotomy experience, expertise in specimen collection across all age groups, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety. This role requires proficiency in patient identification, specimen handling, and adherence to laboratory procedures.
    M-F 9-5:30pm

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform venipuncture and specimen collection on patients ranging from infants to geriatrics.
    2. Verify patient identity and ensure accurate patient information prior to specimen collection.
    3. Label specimens accurately and in accordance with established protocols.
    4. Prepare and package specimens for transport and send-out testing.
    5. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and infection control standards.
    6. Provide professional and compassionate patient interactions throughout the collection process.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Minimum of 2+ years of recent phlebotomy experience.
    2. Experience performing blood draws on infant patients is mandatory.
    3. High School Diploma or GED required.
    4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures.
    5. Excellent communication and patient service skills.
    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Experience working in a clinical laboratory, hospital, or outpatient healthcare setting.

    Certifications
    1. Phlebotomy Certification required.
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
