  • Job Summary
    The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Sterile Processing Department to ensure consistent, high-quality performance across all shifts. This role focuses on maintaining compliance, ensuring reliable instrument availability aligned with surgical schedules, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a professional and supportive team environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department across all shifts.
    • Ensure consistent availability of sterile instruments to support surgical schedules.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure audit readiness at all times.
    • Lead and develop supervisors to ensure disciplined and accountable shift operations.
    • Monitor and improve department performance, quality, and efficiency metrics.
    • Manage staffing models to support operational needs and productivity goals.
    • Promote infection control standards and best practices in sterile processing.
    • Foster a professional, supportive, and engaging work environment for team members.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and engagement.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to established procedures and protocols.

    Required Qualifications
    • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in sterile processing.
    • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience with multi-shift accountability.
    • Strong knowledge of sterile processing regulations and infection control standards.
    • Experience managing staffing models, operational metrics, and department performance.
    • Proven ability to lead supervisors or frontline leaders.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
    • Ability to build accountability while maintaining a positive and engaged team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader) or CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) certification.
    • Experience working in high-volume, high-acuity surgical environments.
