Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from surgery or managing acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to deliver safe, efficient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver care to patients in a competent, caring, and efficient manner.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care.
- Obtain and interpret patient information to determine individualized needs.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with accurate documentation.
- Complete admission assessments within established timeframes according to policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care interventions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and professional nursing practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Additional training or certifications in medical-surgical nursing.
