  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from surgery or managing acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to deliver safe, efficient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements.
    2. Deliver care to patients in a competent, caring, and efficient manner.
    3. Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care.
    4. Obtain and interpret patient information to determine individualized needs.
    5. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with accurate documentation.
    6. Complete admission assessments within established timeframes according to policy and procedures.
    7. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
    8. Monitor patient progress and adjust care interventions as needed.
    9. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and professional nursing practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district.
    2. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
    3. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
    4. Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
    5. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    6. Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Additional training or certifications in medical-surgical nursing.
