JOB SUMMARY Provides direct nursing care to psychiatric patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with therapeutic activities, and maintaining patient records.
Key Responsibilities - Administer prescribed medications and treatments to patients. - Monitor patients for changes in condition and report to the RN or physician. - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. - Provide patient and family education. - Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. - Participate in therapeutic interventions and group activities. - Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. - Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including those related to patient rights and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program. - Valid state LPN or LVN license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting is preferred.
Skills - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. - Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their administration. - Familiarity with de-escalation techniques.
