JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical care. This role focuses on providing direct patient care to individuals with a variety of medical conditions, requiring comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The ideal candidate is a proactive caregiver committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and symptom evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.

Schedule / Shift
Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications
- Compact or Alabama (AL) RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of experience required

Preferred Qualifications
- Cerner EMR/charting system experience preferred

Experience
- 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
