    Job Summary
    The X-ray Technologist is responsible for performing radiological procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position involves preparing the examination room and equipment, positioning patients for x-ray procedures, operating the x-ray machine, and developing/processing radiological films. The technologist will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, adhering to established safety protocols and best practices.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare for Radiological Procedures:
    • Set up the examination room with the necessary equipment and instruments based on patient needs.
    • Ensure all radiological equipment is properly calibrated and functioning.

    Patient Positioning & Imaging:
    • Position patients correctly to capture the appropriate images required for diagnostic purposes.
    • Operate the x-ray machine according to established protocols to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
    Radiological Film Handling:
    • Develop and process radiological films as per department guidelines.
    • Select appropriate films for the specific radiological examination.
    Patient Safety & Comfort:
    • Ensure that patients are comfortable and well-informed throughout the imaging process.
    • Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to both patients and staff.
    Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure the accurate interpretation of radiological images.
    • Document all procedures and patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
    Job Requirements
    Education:
    • AART Certification required.
    Experience:
    • A minimum of two years of experience required to apply for unit-specific roles.
    Licenses & Certifications:
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    Additional Requirements:
    • COVID-19 vaccination required.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience:
    • Previous experience working in a radiology department or hospital setting is preferred.
    • Experience with advanced imaging technologies is a plus.
