JOB SUMMARY
A Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing treatment plans to improve mobility, manage pain, and restore function. This role involves implementing therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education to facilitate recovery and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patient's condition, functional limitations, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations, medical history, and physician referrals.
• Administer therapeutic treatments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and modalities.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and preventative measures.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and plan of care in accordance with facility policies and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Adapt treatment plans as needed based on patient response and progress.

Schedule / Shift
• Monday - Friday
• 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Required Qualifications
• Valid Florida Physical Therapist License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience
• Experience performing evaluations and developing treatment plans.
• Experience with gait training and therapeutic exercises.
• Experience with therapeutic activities.

Skills
• Proficiency in assessing and treating a diverse patient population.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to function well independently.

• Meditech

Patient Population
• General adult patient population requiring physical therapy.

Unit / Specialty
• Therapy Department

Floating / On-Call
• Experience with a patient load of 8-10 patients per 8-hour shift, with assignments up to 10-13 patients.
• Previous traveler experience is preferred.
