Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering prescribed medications, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. The role requires expertise in patient assessment, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study patients' charts, medication regimens, and test results upon admittance to the progressive care unit
• Track routine vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements
• Interpret measurements from specialized medical equipment
• Monitor and administer prescribed medication, including titration of drug doses
• Perform diagnostic assessments on changes in measurements and designated interventions
• Report deteriorating conditions to healthcare specialists and follow intervention instructions
• Update and maintain ward charts, patient files, and medical records
• Oversee Progressive Care Unit nursing assistants and support staff
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and their families, as well as answer questions

Required Qualifications:

• Education: ASN/BSN
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical nursing role
• License/Certification: RN license, BLS, ACLS
• COVID-19 vaccination
