JOB SUMMARY Provides direct nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical and renal unit, following established protocols and patient care standards. Supports physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities • Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, physical condition, and pain levels. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. • Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) therapy. • Provide wound care as needed. • Manage patient care using drainage devices. • Perform central line management. • Administer blood products. • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans. • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals.
Schedule / Shift • 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights) • 13-week contract
Required Qualifications • Valid State Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Meditech EMR system.
Experience • Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Skills • Proficient in performing IV starts and therapies. • Skilled in wound care management. • Competent in patient assessment and implementation of nursing interventions. • Experience with drainage devices. • Competent in central line management. • Experience with blood product administration.

Dress Code • Navy scrubs. • Closed-toe shoes required. • Tattoos must be appropriately covered.
