JOB SUMMARY
RN - Endoscopy

Key Responsibilities
• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
• Perform moderate sedation with another RN.
• Operate and maintain endoscopic equipment, including Olympus scopes and Medivator.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adhere to unit guidelines, policies, and infection control protocols.

Schedule / Shift
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Call required 2-3 days per week.
• Alternating weekends on call every 3rd weekend.

Required Qualifications
• Must have experience with EGD, Colonoscopy, and ERCP procedures.
• Must be able to perform moderate sedation with another RN.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Bronchoscopy and EBUS is preferred.
• Experience with robotic bronchoscopies, occasional thoracentesis, and Pleur-X placement is a plus.

Certifications
• ACLS

Experience
• Experience in an Endoscopy Lab setting is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with gastrointestinal and pulmonary procedures.

Skills
• Proficient in performing EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS procedures.
• Skilled in administering and monitoring moderate sedation.
• Familiarity with Olympus scopes and Medivator.

• Meditech

Patient Population
• Adult patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Unit / Specialty
• GI/Endo Lab

Floating / On-Call
• No floating expected.
• Call required 2-3 days a week plus call every 3rd weekend.
