JOB SUMMARY A CT Technologist performs a variety of CT scan procedures in accordance with physician orders, utilizing imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and providing quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities - Performs CT scans and associated procedures as prescribed by physicians. - Operates CT scanner and related equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images. - Positions patients appropriately for scanning and ensures patient comfort and safety. - Administers contrast media as required and according to established protocols. - Reviews images for technical quality and ensures completion of the examination. - Maintains patient records and documentation. - Follows radiation safety standards and infection control procedures. - Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Schedule / Shift - Monday-Thursday, 9 PM - 7 AM - On-call rotation: 2-5 days every 12 weeks.
Skills - Proficient in operating CT scanning equipment. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. - Ability to administer contrast media. - Strong patient assessment and care skills. - Understanding of radiation safety principles. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
