Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support licensed Occupational Therapists in the implementation of treatment plans. The COTA will play an integral role in helping patients regain physical, cognitive, and developmental functionality. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists to meet patients' therapeutic goals.
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Monitor, document, and report on patient progress, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary under supervision.
- Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process, ensuring a clear understanding of home exercises and continued care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.
- Ensure patient records are maintained accurately and in compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
- Support the setup, operation, and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment spaces.
- Attend team meetings, contribute insights, and participate in the development of innovative treatment strategies.
- Uphold professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, dignity, and a high level of respect.
