JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse will float between units, primarily MedSurg and Telemetry, to meet staffing needs and provide comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities - Assess patient condition, plan and implement patient care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitor patient vital signs and document observations. - Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans. - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. - Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions. - Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. - Float to MedSurg and Telemetry units as needed to support patient care.
Schedule / Shift - To be confirmed based on facility needs.
Required Qualifications - Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Ability to work flexible shifts as required by the resource pool.
Experience - Minimum of 1-2 years of current RN experience.
Skills - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Proficient in providing care to MedSurg and Telemetry patient populations. - Adaptable and able to cross train to different units.
Unit / Specialty - MedSurg - Telemetry - Float / Resource Pool
Floating / On-Call - Must be willing to float to various units as needed. - On-call requirements may apply.
