  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional clinical judgment, compassion, and efficiency in delivering patient-centered care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical-surgical procedures, patient safety, and the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill, injured, or recovering patients.
    2. Perform regular patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
    3. Administer medications, manage IVs, and change dressings per protocols.
    4. Document and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
    5. Coordinate individualized care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
    6. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
    7. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and safety standards.
    8. Function independently under supervision while effectively communicating with multidisciplinary teams.
    9. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and unit-based goals.
    10. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure effective patient care.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
    2. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    3. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
    4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    5. Proven ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress environments.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience within the past 2 years.
    2. Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS) preferred.
    3. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
