  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP RN) to join our cardiovascular team. The EP RN will provide specialized nursing care in the Electrophysiology Lab, assisting with complex procedures such as implants, ablations, and device management. This role requires advanced clinical skills, circulator/scrub experience, and expertise in managing patients with cardiac dysrhythmias.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
    2. Circulate and scrub for EP lab procedures, including implants and ablations.
    3. Administer medications and manage advanced therapies such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and rapid transfusions.
    4. Perform sheath removal and monitor patients for complications.
    5. Interpret 12-lead EKGs, telemetry, and dysrhythmias.
    6. Manage central lines, PICC lines, PA lines, CVP monitoring, and vascular access devices (Port-A-Cath, triple lumen catheters).
    7. Operate syringe pumps and infusion devices for critical medications.
    8. Assist with epicardial pacer management and other advanced cardiac interventions.
    9. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
    10. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Electrophysiology Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab.
    3. Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia management and advanced cardiac procedures.
    4. Circulate and scrub experience in EP procedures.
    5. Proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Prior experience with implants, ablations, and advanced cardiac device management.
    3. Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required.
    3. Certification in Electrophysiology Nursing (preferred).
