Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The technologist will assist in a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, utilizing advanced imaging technology to support timely and accurate diagnoses. This role requires clinical expertise, precision, and a collaborative approach in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and instruments used in the Cath Lab.
- Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patient vitals and condition throughout procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
- Document procedure details, equipment usage, and patient responses accurately.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Provide patient care and education before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure efficient and safe operations in the lab.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) or RCIS credential – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA – Required
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience or formal training in a Cath Lab or Angiography setting in a hospital environment.
Certifications
- ARRT RT(R) or RCIS – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
