JOB SUMMARY
Provide technical support in the operating room, assisting surgeons during operative procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional.
• Set up and maintain the sterile field.
• Assist the surgeon by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide requested items promptly.
• Monitor the patient's condition during surgery and report any changes.
• Assist with patient positioning and skin preparation.
• Perform surgical counts to ensure all instruments and sponges are accounted for.
• Clean and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Document patient care activities accurately.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Skills
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and principles.
• Proficient in instrument identification and handling.
