Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Technician to perform high-quality, comprehensive echocardiogram studies. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a healthcare team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiogram studies in accordance with accepted clinical protocols
- Utilize appropriate technical judgment to conduct exams independently and accurately
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members
- Adhere to established protocols and meet departmental deadlines and standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of imaging procedures
- Support team operations by contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in echocardiography
- Completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a registered echocardiography technician
- Strong technical skills with the ability to function without supervision
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Certifications (if any)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) — Required
- CPR Certification — Required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
