    JOB SUMMARY
    Provide diagnostic ultrasound services to patients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsible for performing a variety of sonographic procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging in accordance with established protocols.
    • Conduct sonographic procedures, including but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
    • Perform scans of small parts (thyroid, breast, and scrotum).
    • Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
    • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of diagnostic services.

    Schedule / Shift
    • Weekends ONLY: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
    • Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
    • Call required on Saturday and Sunday nights.

    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience required.
    • Graduate of an accredited AMA school.
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARRT for Ultrasound Vascular Registry.
    • Vascular Registry (RVT) required.
    • General Ultrasound studies experience.

    Certifications
    • BLS

    Experience
    • General US studies experience.
    • Abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
    • Small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) imaging.
    • Ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.

    Skills
    • Proficiency in sonographic procedures.
    • Ability to demonstrate competency in imaging techniques.

    Floating / On-Call
    • Possible floating to an outpatient imaging center required.
    • Call required on Saturday and Sunday nights.

    Unit / Specialty

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Echo experience preferred.
    • Experience in cardiac adult sonography preferred.
