Job Summary
The Nurse Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified nursing professionals to meet organizational staffing needs. This role involves managing the full recruitment cycle, building strong candidate pipelines, and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective placement of nursing staff. The recruiter serves as a key liaison between candidates and the organization, promoting a positive candidate experience and supporting workforce growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full recruitment cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring nurses
- Develop candidate pipelines through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions
- Coordinate interviews and provide timely feedback to candidates
- Promote employer brand by ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Maintain recruitment records in applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Support workforce planning and contribute to long-term staffing strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in nurse recruitment or healthcare staffing
- Strong knowledge of ATS systems and recruitment tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for multiple nursing specialties (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, ER, OR)
- Familiarity with healthcare credentialing and compliance requirements
- Prior experience in agency or hospital recruitment settings
Certifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
