    JOB SUMMARY
    Performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans and general radiology, following established protocols and physician's orders. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and quality of imaging results.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Reviews patient history and physician's orders prior to imaging procedures.
    • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam requirements to ensure understanding and cooperation.
    • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications as ordered and within the scope of practice.
    • Monitors patient condition and responds to changes in status promptly.
    • Prepares necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
    • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on imaging equipment.
    • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions.
    • Positions patients accurately and performs requested imaging procedures.
    • Analyzes imaging results for quality and takes appropriate action to correct issues, including repositioning and repeating scans.
    • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
    • Floats between X-ray and CT departments as required.

    Required Qualifications
    • Associate degree in radiologic technology.
    • 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
    • ARRT certification in Radiology (RD) and CT.
    • Florida CT/Radiologic Technologist license.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Completion of a CT technology certificate program.
