JOB SUMMARY Provide direct nursing care to patients in a medical-telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and carrying out treatment plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities - Assess patient condition and document observations. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms. - Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. - Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Required Qualifications - Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Minimum of 1-2 years of LPN experience in a hospital setting. - Experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit preferred.
Skills - Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring. - Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately. - Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
EMR / Systems - Experience with electronic health record systems is beneficial.
Patient Population - Adult and geriatric patients with various medical and cardiac conditions.
Unit / Specialty: Med/Tele
Floating / On-Call - May be required to float to similar units as needed.
