Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy Family Medicine practice in Plymouth. This full-time role involves direct patient care on the floor, including administering vaccines, medications, and providing patient education. The position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines and medications to patients in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Provide patient education and teaching related to medications, treatments, and preventive care.
- Support physicians and registered nurses in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Monitor patient responses and report any concerns to the supervising provider.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical records.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with general floor duties in a busy family medicine practice.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a family medicine or primary care setting.
- Strong clinical skills in administering vaccines and medications.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in adult patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Certifications (if any)
- Current LPN license (mandatory).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
