Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring advanced organ support and invasive monitoring. The ICU RN will work in a high-acuity environment, managing complex patient needs such as trauma, overdose, post-surgical recovery, and chronic illness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous care and monitoring for critically ill patients
- Manage advanced life support equipment and invasive monitoring tools
- Respond quickly and effectively to patient emergencies and changes in condition
- Deliver care to a diverse population with varying diagnoses including trauma, overdose, and post-operative cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to implement care plans
- Document patient care and progress accurately using electronic health records
- Apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking to deliver safe, effective care
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license (MA or Crisis license accepted unless restricted)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
- Proficiency in electronic charting systems, preferably EPIC
- No eligibility for emergency license if prior disciplinary hits are present
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-acuity or trauma ICU settings
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
