Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Specialist with expertise in oncology data management. The ideal candidate will support accurate data collection, reporting, and compliance within the Cancer Registry, ensuring high-quality information is available for clinical and research purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and maintain oncology-related data in compliance with established standards.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entered into the Cancer Registry.
- Utilize software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
- Provide data support for clinical teams, researchers, and administrators.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using computer software programs (Word, Excel, Internet access and use).
- Associate’s degree or equivalent (minimum of 60 college-level credits).
- At least 1 year of experience working in a Cancer Registry.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Certifications (if any)
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification (required).
- Additional certifications in data management or health information (preferred but not required).
