  • JOB TITLE: Interventional Radiology Technologist

    JOB SUMMARY
    Seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. This role involves assisting physicians during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of care. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures.
    - Prepare and operate specialized imaging equipment.
    - Administer contrast media as directed.
    - Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures.
    - Ensure proper sterile technique is maintained.
    - Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
    - Participate in Y-90 delivery, management of GI bleeds, TPA administration, vein sampling, and Phase 2 Recovery.
    - Manage patient care for diagnoses including Biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular, Pulmonary, CT, Endovascular Lab, and Stent Placement.

    Schedule / Shift
    Schedule: 4x10 Days
    Shift Hours: 0700 - 1730

    Floating / On-Call
    Call Required: Once per week overnight, every 5th or 6th weekend.

    Required Qualifications
    - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology preferred.
    - Previous employees of ANY Providence affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.

    Experience
    - Experience with Y-90 - Chemo delivery.
    - Experience with GI Bleeds.
    - Experience with TPA administration.
    - Experience with Vein sampling.
    - Experience with Phase 2 Recovery.
    - Experience with Biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular, Pulmonary, CT, Endovascular Lab, and Stent Placement procedures.
    - Experience with both inpatient and outpatient patient populations.

    Certifications
    - ACLS
    - BLS

    Skills
    - Proficiency in operating interventional radiology equipment.
    - Strong understanding of sterile techniques.
    - Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills.
    - Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members.

    EMR / Systems
    - Medication System: Pyxis
    - Documentation System: EPIC

    Patient Population
    - Mix of adult and geriatric patients.
    - 50/50% Inpatient/Outpatient mix.

    Unit / Specialty
    - Interventional Radiology
    - Procedures include chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA administration, vein sampling, and Phase 2 Recovery.
    - Expertise in Biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular, Pulmonary, CT, Endovascular Lab, and Stent Placement.
