  • Job Summary
    We are looking for a skilled Radiographer to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team. The ideal candidate will operate imaging equipment to assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating heart conditions. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Operate fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment during cardiac catheterization procedures.
    2. Position patients and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
    3. Collaborate with cardiologists and the Cath Lab team to ensure effective procedure flow and patient safety.
    4. Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to safety standards.
    5. Monitor radiation exposure and ensure compliance with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
    6. Assist in patient preparation, including explaining procedures and positioning for imaging.
    7. Maintain accurate patient records and document procedure details in the electronic health system.
    8. Follow strict infection control and safety protocols during procedures.
    9. Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance programs.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
    2. Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license or certification as required by the state.
    3. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
    4. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    5. Knowledge of radiation safety standards and best practices.
    6. Strong communication and patient care skills.
    7. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Certification in Cardiac Vascular Interventional Radiography (RCIS or similar).
    2. Experience with advanced imaging modalities used in the Cath Lab.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    4. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.

    Certifications
    1. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification – required.
    2. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist – required.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – preferred.
    4. Cardiac Vascular Interventional Radiography certification – preferred.
