  • Job Summary
    The RN – Oncology provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, supporting patients and families through treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely and effectively.
    2. Monitor patient responses to treatment and manage side effects.
    3. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
    4. Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
    5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
    6. Support patients and families emotionally, offering guidance and resources throughout the cancer care journey.
    7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to oncology nursing best practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices and cancer treatment protocols.
    3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
    5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Prior experience in oncology or infusion therapy.
    3. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

    Certifications
    1. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
