  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN will collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, family-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess and monitor the condition of neonates, including vital signs, physical status, and response to treatment.
    2. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and specialized neonatal procedures as prescribed.
    3. Manage life-support equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and monitors.
    4. Provide support and education to families regarding their infant’s condition, care plan, and developmental needs.
    5. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary NICU team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    6. Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and progress in electronic health records.
    7. Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in neonatal resuscitation efforts.
    8. Adhere to infection control practices and safety protocols specific to neonatal care.
    9. Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives within the NICU.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
    2. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a NICU or critical care setting.
    3. Strong neonatal assessment skills and knowledge of NICU equipment and protocols.
    4. Excellent communication and family-support skills.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
    3. Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) or equivalent.
    4. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
    2. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required.
    3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
