Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in oncology chemotherapy to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves administering chemotherapy treatments, monitoring patient responses, and supporting patients and families throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications safely and accurately
- Monitor patients for side effects and provide appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Uphold infection control and safety protocols in all clinical settings
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or acute care
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an oncology unit or infusion center
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Certifications
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
