Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular care to join our hospital team. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, ranging from routine monitoring to complex interventions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, patient-centered communication, and the ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with cardiovascular conditions in accordance with established nursing standards.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, medications, and interventions.
- Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products as prescribed.
- Observe and record physiological data, intervening promptly when necessary.
- Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and supervise patient care activities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular nursing practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Prior experience in cardiac catheterization labs, telemetry, or surgical cardiovascular units.
Certifications (if any)
- Current RN License (mandatory).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
