Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in outpatient pediatrics to administer pediatric vaccines and provide care in a clinic setting. The RN will ensure safe and accurate immunizations, educate patients and families, and support pediatric health maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer pediatric vaccines according to CDC guidelines and clinic protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-vaccination and respond appropriately.
- Educate parents and guardians on vaccine schedules, benefits, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vaccinations and patient information.
- Assist with routine pediatric assessments and support providers during patient visits.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards in the clinic.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Proven experience in outpatient pediatric nursing, particularly in vaccine administration.
- Knowledge of pediatric immunization schedules and vaccine storage/handling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to educate and reassure children and families.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work flexible clinic hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Experience with pediatric patient education and counseling

- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Preferred
