  • Job Summary:
    Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to a variety of patients in a hospital setting. The role involves caring for patients with a wide range of health problems, from simple to complex. The RN will work as part of a team, assisting physicians, administering treatments, and monitoring patient health, while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring high-quality care.

    Essential Responsibilities:
    1. Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
    2. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
    3. Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
    4. Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations, and intervening when necessary.
    5. Administer medications as prescribed, including initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous infusions and blood products.
    6. Provide competent patient care while ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
    7. Interact with patients and families to share care plans, both during hospitalization and at discharge.
    8. Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and policies.
    9. Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
    10. Delegate tasks to support staff as necessary.

    General Responsibilities:
    1. Perform other duties as assigned to support hospital operations.

    Required Skills & Experience:
    1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    2. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
    3. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
    4. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
    5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    6. Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
    7. Basic computer skills.

    Required Education:
    1. Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

    Preferred Education:
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an approved program.

    Required Certifications & Licensure:
    1. Current RN License
    2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
    3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
