Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our hospital-based imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations and support both inpatient and outpatient services. Experience with NICU or pediatric echocardiography is desired but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 6–8 echocardiograms per shift, maintaining accuracy and image quality.
- Conduct various cardiac imaging procedures, including:
- Echocardiogram
- Stress Echocardiogram
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram
- Rotate through assigned areas daily, covering inpatient, outpatient, and procedural units.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in the weekend and weekday call schedule as follows:
- One weekday evening call per week (staff scheduled for weekend call are exempt that week).
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in adult cardiac sonography.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting multiple echocardiographic studies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NICU or Pediatric echocardiography preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
Certifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
