Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups. The therapist will assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to support emotional well-being and mental health recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate clients and families on coping strategies, mental health resources, and community support.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education activities.
- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or equivalent (state-specific).
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and mental health disorders.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, or community mental health settings.
- Training in specialized therapeutic approaches (e.g., EMDR, play therapy, family therapy).
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
Certifications (if any)
- State licensure or certification in mental health counseling or social work.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
