  • Job Summary
    The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, often due to acute or chronic cardiovascular conditions. The RN in this role is responsible for closely observing telemetry monitors, assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms or overall health status. This role requires strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to any abnormalities.
    2. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document changes in condition.
    3. Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered.
    4. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    5. Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
    6. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    7. Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue events.
    8. Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and protocols.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    2. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    3. Minimum of 1–2 years of recent nursing experience in a telemetry, step-down, or critical care setting.
    4. Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring systems.
    5. Excellent clinical judgment and ability to prioritize care in a high-acuity environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Previous experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required

    Note - This is a per diem job with 3 weeks contract.
