Key Responsibilities - Perform MRI procedures according to physician's orders and departmental protocols. - Prepare patients for MRI scans, including screening for contraindications and ensuring patient comfort and safety. - Operate MRI scanner and associated equipment, ensuring optimal image quality. - Perform quality control checks and maintain equipment. - Accurately document patient information and scan results in the electronic medical record. - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care.
Required Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. - Current BLS certification. - State-specific technologist license, if applicable.
Certifications - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in MRI
Experience - Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
Skills - Proficient in performing a wide range of MRI examinations. - Knowledge of MRI physics and safety protocols. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems - Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
