Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU RN will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, ensuring safe, high-quality, and evidence-based nursing practices. This role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment (ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic charting system using laptop-based tools.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in State.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of critical care practices, protocols, and equipment.
- Proficiency in electronic charting systems (Epic preferred).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced certifications in critical care nursing (e.g., CCRN).
- Prior experience in a hospital-based ICU setting.
Certifications
- State RN license (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required).
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred).
