Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and restocking surgical instruments and trays. This role ensures strict adherence to infection control and safety standards, providing essential support to surgical teams by delivering necessary instruments promptly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments following established protocols.
- Sterilize and assemble surgical trays tailored for various procedures.
Maintain and restock sterile supplies to ensure availability for surgical teams.
Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times.
Support surgical teams by ensuring timely delivery of instruments and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Certification from IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) or HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association).
