  • Job Summary
    The RN – MICU provides direct patient care to critically ill adults in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU
    2. Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including vital signs and lab results
    3. Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed
    4. Operate and manage advanced medical equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors)
    5. Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions
    6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
    7. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
    8. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current RN license in the state of practicEx
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain BSN
    3. Minimum of 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferably in critical care)
    4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
    5. Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or MICU setting
    2. Advanced knowledge of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
    3. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required
    3. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred
