JOB SUMMARY Seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide services to students for the 2026-2027 school year in Juneau, Alaska.
Key Responsibilities - Evaluate and assess students' functional abilities and needs related to participation in educational activities. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student evaluations and IEP goals. - Provide direct therapy services to students, individually or in small groups, to address fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-perceptual skills, self-care skills, and social-emotional development. - Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals to support student learning and participation. - Adapt environments, materials, and tasks to facilitate student success. - Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings. - Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
Schedule / Shift Full-time, School Year 2026-2027
Required Qualifications - Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. - State licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Alaska. - Current NBCOT certification.
Experience - Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting preferred.
Skills - Strong assessment and intervention skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families. - Knowledge of child development and educational disabilities.
